Towards new investments with increasing capacity…

As of 2011, Evciler provides its services from five different addresses, and with two different plants in Ankara, totalling 50,000 m2 open and 20,000 m2 indoor area capacity, both certified separately with a “Certificate of Conformity” issued by the General Directorate of Environmental Management under the Ministry of the Environment and Forestry. Evciler works at full capacity in its Ankara premises and can process up to 10,000 tons of e-waste a year. The volume of e-waste treatment has increased dramatically all over the country, as a result of the efforts of the Marmara Regional Office, and Aegean Regional Office (opened in 2011 in Izmir) led by the contributions of its experienced team of environmental chemical and geology engineers. Evciler is now a prominent candidate to becoming the leader in its sector.

The integrated dismantling system, utilising a high-end technology, was initiated in 2009 and completed in April 2010. This investment, enabled by the latest technical developments, is a unique example for Turkey and places Evciler in an entirely different position among its competitors.

Evciler transports its e-waste using solely its thirteen (as of December 2011) licensed (by Ministry of Environment and Forestry Waste Transportation License) vehicles. As a result of the ever increasing demand, Evciler decided in 2011 to enhance its vehicle fleet. In addition, a specialized scrap accumulator transportation vehicle is lately added to the fleet.

In order to spread both the environmental and recycling awareness, Evciler always looking to invest in the future, has decided to get involved in related fields. In 2011, plans have been made for recycling of End-of-Life (EOL) vehicles. Evciler’s investment was triggered by the draft of "Control of End-of-Life Vehicles Regulation", prepared by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry in compliance to the European Union, which makes dismantling and recycling of end-of-life vehicles compulsory.

Furthermore, Evciler who provides services for recycling of scrap auto catalysts within in the scope of its cooperations with the reknown refineries in Europe, the activities in this field are accelerated. The company started an initial decomposition facility in order to increase its local content in the refining process.

Evciler works with a number of domestic companies as solution partners for the safe disposal of spent batteries, accumulators, CRT’s, fluorescents etc. Evciler is also designing and implementing investment projects with certain universities related to the pre-treatment of flourescents in the temporary storage.
